Kamber Business School is committed to acting ethically and with integrity. We do not tolerate modern slavery, forced labor, human trafficking or child labor in our operations or supply chains.
Singapore law does not require us to publish this statement. We publish it voluntarily, drawing on international good practice such as the UK Modern Slavery Act 2015 and the UN Guiding Principles on Business and Human Rights.
1. Our organization
Kamber Business School is an experiential learning business school in Singapore, based at Paya Lebar Square, 60 Paya Lebar Rd, Singapore 409051. We offer the Post Graduate Certificate Program in Chief Digital and AI Officer. Our team includes academic staff, professional staff, visiting faculty and contractors.
2. Our supply chains
Our main suppliers provide services and goods including:
- facilities services, such as cleaning, security and maintenance;
- catering and events;
- IT equipment, software and cloud services;
- printing, promotional items and learning materials;
- recruitment and student-recruitment agents;
- travel and accommodation for study trips.
We recognize that outsourced facilities services, the manufacture of IT equipment and promotional goods, and recruitment agents are areas where the risk of modern slavery can be higher.
3. Our policies
- Code of conduct: sets the ethical standards we expect of staff, faculty and contractors.
- Fair recruitment: we do not charge recruitment fees to workers, and we do not hold anyone's passport or identity documents.
- Whistleblowing: staff, learners and suppliers can raise concerns confidentially without fear of retaliation.
- Supplier expectations: we expect suppliers to respect human rights and to apply the same standards in their own supply chains.
4. Due diligence and risk management
Our approach includes:
- identifying suppliers in higher-risk categories;
- including ethical labor requirements in new and renewed supplier contracts;
- asking higher-risk suppliers about their labor practices;
- investigating any concerns raised and taking action, up to ending a supplier relationship.
5. Training and awareness
We aim to help staff who manage suppliers and recruitment recognize the signs of modern slavery and know how to report concerns.
6. Reporting concerns
If you have a concern about modern slavery connected with Kamber Business School, please contact ethics@kbs.example.edu. All reports are treated confidentially.
7. Review and approval
